Quick Start

Get Configly set up and running in just a few minutes.

What You'll Do

1. Create your Configly account and start your free trial
2. Connect your Zendesk instance
3. Run your first configuration sync
4. Explore your Zendesk setup

Step 1: Create Your Account

Go to the Configly registration page and sign up with your email address and a password.

When you register, a 14-day free trial starts automatically. No credit card is required. You will receive a welcome email from help@configly.app confirming your trial start date.

Step 2: Connect Your Zendesk Instance

After registering you are taken to the Add Connection screen.

1. Enter a name for this connection (e.g., Production or Acme Support)
2. Enter your Zendesk subdomain — for acme.zendesk.com enter acme
3. Click Connect with Zendesk
4. You are redirected to Zendesk to authorise access
5. After approving, you are returned to Configly with the connection active

Step 3: Run Your First Sync

With your connection active:

1. Click Sync now on the connection dashboard
2. Watch the real-time progress indicator as Configly pulls each configuration type
3. When the sync completes, your first snapshot is saved

Your snapshot captures up to 41 configuration types across 7 groups — covering triggers, automations, views, fields, routing, apps, help centre content, and more. The dashboard organises these into collapsible groups matching Zendesk Admin Centre's layout.

This usually takes 30–90 seconds depending on how many objects you have.

Step 4: Explore Your Configuration

With a snapshot saved, you can:

• Search — press ++cmd+k++ / ++ctrl+k++ to find any configuration object instantly
• Diff — compare snapshots to see what changed between syncs
• Dependencies — find out which objects reference each other
• Health Check — run an automated analysis of your configuration quality

Upgrading to a Paid Plan

Your 14-day trial gives you access to core features. When your trial ends, your account enters read-only mode — you can still view existing snapshots but cannot run new syncs.

To continue using Configly:

1. Go to Settings → Billing
2. Click Upgrade
3. Choose a plan — Solo or Agency
4. Complete checkout via Stripe
