A trial that reaches day 14 without a payment method moves to the Free plan. The account stays open, you keep signing in as normal, and nothing from the trial is deleted.
Configly no longer puts expired trials into read-only mode, and no longer deletes the account after a grace period. Both of those were the old behaviour and neither applies now.
What changes on the day the trial ends
You keep reading and analysing. You lose the ability to write back to Zendesk.
Still available: your existing snapshots and diffs, running a new sync, dependency maps, global search, What-If simulation, and one health check per calendar month showing your top five findings. The health check allowance resets on the first of each month.

Instances and snapshots
A trial allows two connected Zendesk instances and Free allows one, so a trial that used both ends up one over the limit. Configly keeps the instance you connected first and locks the other.
A locked instance stays in your connections list, along with its snapshots and history. You cannot open, sync or use it while it is locked, and a banner shows how many are locked. Nothing is deleted and Configly never disconnects an instance on your behalf.
Moving to a plan that covers both instances unlocks it. If you would rather stay on Free and it is the locked instance you want to use, disconnecting the active one yourself frees the slot.
Free keeps the ten most recent snapshot versions per connection visible. Anything older is hidden rather than deleted, and it comes back if you upgrade. A trial that produced more than ten versions will have the older ones hidden on Free.
Free accounts are subject to the inactivity timetable. If nobody signs in for six months the account becomes read-only, and at twelve months it is deleted. See Account dormancy and inactive accounts.
Upgrading later
There is no deadline. Go to Settings, then Billing, and choose a plan whenever you want the write features back. Connections, snapshots and history carry over, and snapshot versions hidden by the ten-version cap become visible again.
