OAuth Global Clients
What Are OAuth Global Clients?
OAuth global clients are Zendesk-wide OAuth application registrations that operate at a platform level rather than being scoped to a single account. They're typically used by Zendesk Marketplace apps and platform-level integrations.
What Configly Captures
For each global OAuth client, Configly stores:
- Client name and description
- Client ID -- the unique identifier
- Redirect URIs -- the allowed callback URLs
- Company name -- the company that owns the client
- Created and updated timestamps

Configly and Global OAuth
Note
If you installed the Configly app from the Zendesk Marketplace, authentication is handled automatically via OAuth. You do not need to create or manage OAuth clients yourself.
Configly's Zendesk Marketplace app uses a global OAuth client that works across any Zendesk subdomain. When you install and authorise the app, it connects to your instance automatically. Users who connect directly through the Configly web dashboard at go.configly.app still create their own OAuth client as described in the connection guide.
