Overview
The Configly integration for Zapier lets you connect Configly to thousands of other apps without writing any code. Use it to wire your health checks, syncs, and configuration changes into the tools your team already uses, from chat and email to spreadsheets and ticketing systems.
The integration is currently in Public Beta and is available from Zapier's app directory.
Use a read/write Configly API key when connecting Configly to Zapier. Activating any Configly trigger registers a webhook on your connection, and registering a webhook is a write operation. A read-only key cannot register webhooks, so triggers will not work with one.
Before you start
- A Configly account with a connected Zendesk instance.
- A Zapier account.
- A read/write Configly API key. See How to generate and manage API keys.
Connect your Configly account in Zapier
Find Configly in Zapier
In Zapier, create a new Zap and search for Configly, then add it as the trigger or action app.
Add a Configly connection
When Zapier prompts you to connect your Configly account, choose to add a new connection.
Enter your API key
Paste your read/write Configly API key when prompted. Zapier uses this key to authenticate with Configly on your behalf.
Build your Zap
Choose a Configly trigger, action, or search, then connect it to any other app in Zapier.
Available triggers
Triggers start a Zap when something happens in Configly. Activating a trigger registers a webhook on your connection, so a read/write API key is required.
| Trigger | Fires when |
|---|---|
| Sync completed | A Zendesk sync finishes successfully. |
| Sync failed | A Zendesk sync fails, including connection and credential problems. |
| Health check completed | A health check run finishes. |
| Health score changed | A health check score differs from the previous run. |
| Critical finding detected | A new critical-severity finding is detected. |
| Config applied | Changes are applied to your Zendesk instance. |
Available actions
Actions let a Zap do something in Configly.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Run health check | Starts a health check on your connection. |
| Preview apply | Runs a dry-run preview of your pending changes without writing anything to Zendesk. |
Available searches
Searches let a Zap look up existing data in Configly to use in later steps.
| Search | What it finds |
|---|---|
| Find a config item | Looks up a configuration item. |
| Find a connection | Looks up a connection. |
The Configly integration for Zapier is in Public Beta. The available triggers, actions, and searches may change while the beta continues.
