Overview
By using the Configly API, you agree to these Terms of Use. These terms apply in addition to Configly's main Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You may not use the Configly API to:
- Resell the API as a competing service.
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent published rate limits.
- Send abusive traffic patterns that degrade service for other users.
- Access or attempt to access data belonging to other Configly users.
- Use the API for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
Rate limits are binding
The rate limits published in Rate limits and usage quotas are contractually binding. Hitting the hard limit will suspend your API key automatically, and reactivation requires action via the Configly application.
Right to suspend
Configly reserves the right to suspend or revoke API access at any time for:
- Breach of these terms.
- Abusive use or traffic patterns.
- Non-payment of subscription fees.
- Security concerns, including suspected credential compromise.
Suspension may be immediate without prior notice in cases of active abuse or security incidents. For non-urgent suspensions, reasonable notice will be provided.
Data handling
Configly accesses your Zendesk configuration data to provide the service. This data is not shared with third parties. Configuration snapshots are retained according to Configly's standard backup policy. Personal data is processed in line with the Configly Privacy Policy.
Availability
Configly provides the API on a commercially reasonable efforts basis. No service level agreement or uptime guarantee applies to API access at this time. Planned maintenance will be communicated where possible.
Liability and warranties
The Configly API is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Configly's total liability arising from or related to your use of the API is limited to the total fees paid by you for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Changes to the API
Configly reserves the right to modify the API. Breaking changes will be communicated with at least 90 days' notice before taking effect. Non-breaking changes (additive new endpoints, new optional fields, new response headers) may be released without advance notice and will be documented in the API changelog.
Termination
Either party may terminate API access with reasonable notice. On termination, your API keys will be revoked and further API access will cease. Data retention following termination follows Configly's standard data retention policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the API will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Contact
For questions about these terms, contact support through the Configly application or via the support channels listed at help.configly.app.
